This is English version of my previous Tamil post. "Nobody has shame..." wrote the great Tamil movie lyricist Kannadasan. This aptly applies to the Indian media behavior. Today a single family is ruling our country for more than 60 years and looting us to the core. Lakhs and Crores are getting meaningless in front of the Himalayan scam that's going around. But media would never question these crooks. Here are some excerpts:
1. Fact: First son-in-law twisting the system and favoring DLF (they got commonwealth contracts as well, something that is never reported in mainstream media)
Media: Karan Thapar was vehemently questioning .... not the corrupt, but the person who exposed it. Of course, our power broker Burkha was conspicuously quiet. Of course, they have to do something for the biscuits that are being thrown to them
2. Fact: Minister is involved in 71-lakh scam (that too swindling handicapped people's money)
Media: They were reporting it until Son-in-Law's scam was forgotten. After that, just keep quiet of course...
3. Fact: Narendra Modi commented (albeit coarsely) about 50-cr girl friend
Media: All anger was drawn against Mr. Modi (rightly so...). But no one questioned why the minister was let off in a scam where free money flowed through his (then) girlfriend. In fact, the media was so engrossed in Mr. Modi's comment that they were comparing this with Manu smriti etc. and as if this nation always treated their women badly. Is there any word on the Mullahs who are protesting against women entering the Mosques???
The mainstream Indian media has gone spineless. They are now wagging their tails for their biscuit throwing masters. Are they going to care about the nation???
NOTE: I am an frustrated Indian. I am irritated at people looting money and keeping more than 60% of population in poverty. I am aghast at media being a silent partner (or are they actual business partners of these crooks as well?). Call me an "Internet Hindu" if you want - as the pseudo-secularist Sagarika would like to term us, but let someone legitimately prove that my concerns are wrong.
